I pull my hair back
no make up
no longer chubby cheeks
no longer have a round face
I've lost the baby fat in my cheeks
but my hair is the same color hers was.
I see her in me so much at this moment.
And reminisce about when I saw this face,
this hair,
and these features,
and not only in the mirror.
It's a proud moment when you see in yourself someone you always wanted to be when you grew up, now that you've grown up.
